About Central Valley Zen Foundation

The Central Valley Zen Foundation is a not-for-profit religious organization with a mission to support Zen Buddhist practice in the Central Valley of California. Currently, four Zen groups are associated with the Foundation: Empty Nest Zen in North Fork, Fresno River Zen in Fresno, Zen and Interfaith Meditation in Fresno, and Valley Heartland Zen in Modesto. All four groups offer training and practice opportunities in the Soto Zen tradition and offer a range of practice opportunities, including regular zazen, lectures, individual instruction and consultation with teachers, and intensive multi-day retreats.
